Undergraduate Course: Intelligent Atmospheric Environment Modeling and Climate Risk Assessment (GEOS3034M)
This is an advanced course for atmospheric science majors, selected for the first batch of undergraduate AI interdisciplinary course construction projects in 2025.
Course Introduction: Against the backdrop of intensifying industrialization and urban expansion, human activities have significantly increased air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, making the impacts of atmospheric environment and climate change on human society more prominent. This course focuses on intelligent atmospheric environment modeling and climate risk assessment, providing in-depth understanding of the key role of artificial intelligence in atmospheric pollution modeling and climate risk assessment. By integrating atmospheric chemistry transport models, environmental big data processing and intelligent algorithms, students will learn how to use AI-assisted modeling technologies for climate environment data processing, pollutant dispersion prediction and health risk assessment.
